Pearce Seeds is a well-established distributor serving the agricultural industry across the South West. With a catalogue of over 39,000 items. from fertilisers and seeds to agrochemicals, they cater to a diverse customer base. Some clients order a single pack of seeds, while others purchase tonnes of chemicals, which now represent the largest part of their business.

In 2020 alone, Pearce Seeds processed nearly 19,000 orders, many fulfilled via drop ship or back-to-back arrangements. The company operates with around 100 permanent or contracted staff and maintains a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

The Challenge

Back in 2014, Pearce Seeds faced a major hurdle. Their attempt to implement a new Dynamics NAV system with another partner had stalled. John Dean, IT Manager at Pearce Seeds, recalls the frustration, "The other partner were dragging their heels, failing to deliver and consequently the relationship broke down." The project was at risk, and Pearce Seeds needed a partner who could step in, take ownership, and move things forward.
