The Challenge
When Provident Financial planned the relocation of its Bradford head office, it saw an opportunity to reassess its IT infrastructure. The existing onsite data centre was no longer fit for purpose. The company needed a secure, resilient solution that could host critical business data and be easily accessible for its technical teams. With a large estate of ageing servers and enterprise-class storage arrays, the stakes were high. The entire migration had to be completed in just one weekend.
The Solution
We were chosen to support Provident’s data centre relocation due to the strategic location of our Leeds facility. We provided data centre space across two sites, connected by a resilient wide area network that also linked to Provident’s new head office. Our infrastructure gave them the security and accessibility they needed, while our ‘remote hands’ service meant our technical team could carry out essential tasks without requiring Provident’s engineers to be onsite.
