Loaf
Relaxed retail and robust operations thanks to Dynamics NAV
The Client
Loaf is a London-based furniture brand known for its laid-back style and customisable upholstery. Since launching in 2009, the company has grown rapidly, reaching £55 million in revenue by 2019.
With eight showroom-style ‘shacks’ across the UK, Loaf offers customers the chance to experience its products in person. While the business began with a search for the perfect bed, it now focuses mainly on made-to-order upholstery, available in over 150 fabrics.
You are a really key partner for Loaf and that in itself says everything you need to know.
The Challenge
Loaf’s original ERP system was custom-built and hosted on the same platform as their website. This setup worked well until the business hit £25 million in sales. At that point, the risks of relying on a bespoke solution became clear. Loaf needed a system that could scale with their growth and integrate seamlessly with their logistics and e-commerce platforms. After evaluating options, they chose Dynamics NAV and partnered with us in 2016, impressed by both the software’s capabilities and our client portfolio.
The Solution
Since joining forces with us, Loaf has accelerated its digital transformation. Louis Adamou, E-Commerce & Technology Strategist at Loaf, explains, “we’re confident this will still be the platform we are using in a number of years.” That confidence is reflected in the pace of development. Originally planned over three years, much of the work was fast-tracked within twelve months.
Louis adds, “we’ve got a really transparent relationship and we greatly appreciated the support you guys have given us this year, especially with COVID-19.”
One key project brought forward due to the pandemic was the integration of Klarna’s consumer finance product. Klarna allows retailers to offer flexible payment options, and its implementation was led by Bruce, a Solution Architect at TNP. Bruce took time to understand how Klarna should work for Loaf’s customers, then worked backwards to identify improvements in other operational processes.
Louis says, “I’ve got total confidence in Bruce. Not only has he helped us implement Klarna, which will be commercially very valuable for us, he’s also taken it upon himself to challenge us to work better and be more conscious about how we work.”

The Results
The partnership between Loaf and TNP has delivered tangible results. Klarna is now fully integrated, enhancing the customer experience and supporting commercial growth. Operational processes have been refined, and Loaf has gained a trusted technology partner who understands their business and challenges them to improve.
Louis sums it up: “TNP have helped us move forward quite considerably in the last 12 months. I couldn’t fault the relationship.”
